Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using any TechChatLab application (hereinafter "App" or "Apps"), accessing our website at techchatlab.com (hereinafter "Website"), or using any of our services (collectively, "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (hereinafter "Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms in their entirety, you may not use our Services.
These Terms apply to all users of TechChatLab Services, including casual users, registered users, and users who have made in-app purchases.
2. License Grant
Subject to your compliance with these Terms and all applicable laws, TechChatLab grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Apps and access the Website for your personal, non-commercial use.
License Scope
You may:
- Download and install the Apps on compatible devices that you own or control
- Use the Apps according to their intended purpose
- Create, store, and manage data locally within the Apps for personal use
- Export data from the Apps in formats provided by the Apps
License Limitations
This license is personal and non-transferable. You may not:
- Sell, rent, lease, transfer, assign, or sublicense the Apps or access to the Apps
- Share your copy of the Apps with others (each user must install their own copy from the App Store)
- Use the Apps for commercial purposes or business resale without written permission
- Grant access to the Apps to third parties who have not agreed to these Terms
3. Use Restrictions
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer or decompile: Attempt to decompile, disassemble, reverse engineer, hack, or otherwise deconstruct the Apps or Website
- Unauthorized access: Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Apps, Website, or any associated systems or networks
- Security breaches: Violate, circumvent, or disable any security measures, encryption, or access controls
- Malware: Use the Apps to distribute malware, viruses, ransomware, or other harmful code
- Illegal activity: Use the Apps in violation of any local, state, national, or international law or regulation
- Harassment or abuse: Use the Apps to harass, threaten, defame, stalk, or abuse others
- Modification: Modify or create derivative works of the Apps without authorization
- Scraping: Scrape, crawl, or automatically access the Website without permission
- Performance interference: Interfere with or disrupt the normal operation of the Apps or Website
- Terms violations: Violate these Terms or any other terms of service that may apply
4. In-App Purchases (IAP)
Purchase Processing
TechChatLab does not directly process payments. All in-app purchases are processed exclusively through:
- Apple App Store: For iOS purchases (including subscriptions and one-time purchases)
- Google Play Store: For Android purchases
By completing an in-app purchase, you authorize the respective app store to charge your payment method.
Purchase Confirmation
A receipt for your purchase will be provided by the app store. TechChatLab does not issue separate invoices or receipts.
Subscription Terms
For subscription-based purchases:
- Subscriptions automatically renew on the renewal date unless canceled
- Cancellation must be made through your app store account settings (Apple App Store or Google Play), not through the App itself
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
- No refunds are provided for partial months or unused portions of a subscription (unless required by law)
Refunds
All refund requests must be submitted to the respective app store:
- Apple: Visit reportaproblem.apple.com or use the App Store app
- Google: Visit Google Play Settings → Account → Payments and Subscriptions → Manage Subscriptions or Purchases
TechChatLab cannot process refunds directly. The app store's refund policies apply (typically up to 48 hours for some purchases).
No Guarantees
TechChatLab does not guarantee that features available via in-app purchase will be available indefinitely. We reserve the right to discontinue features, alter pricing, or modify subscription offerings with reasonable notice (typically at least 30 days).
5. In-App Advertising (IAA)
Advertising Presence
Many TechChatLab Apps include advertisements from third-party advertising networks. By using the Apps, you acknowledge and accept the presence of ads.
Ad Networks
Our Apps use advertising SDKs from third parties including (but not limited to):
- Google AdMob & Google Ad Manager
- Meta Audience Network
- AppLovin & AppLovin MAX
- Unity Ads & Unity LevelPlay
- ironSource & Unity LevelPlay
- Liftoff Monetize (Vungle)
- InMobi
- Chartboost
- Mintegral
- Pangle (TikTok for Business)
- Digital Turbine / AdColony
- Tapjoy
- Fyber
- Smaato
- Bigo Ads
These third parties are responsible for their own ad content and data practices. Refer to our Privacy Policy for details about what data ad networks collect.
Ad Content Disclaimer
TechChatLab does not control the content of advertisements displayed by third-party ad networks. While we use reasonable efforts to prevent inappropriate ads, we cannot guarantee that all ads will be suitable for all users. If you encounter inappropriate advertising, please report it to the respective ad network or contact us at support@techchatlab.com.
Ad Interactions
TechChatLab is not responsible for:
- The accuracy or legitimacy of advertised products or services
- Transactions you conduct with advertisers
- Losses or damages resulting from interactions with ads or third parties
Rewarded Ads
Some Apps offer optional rewarded ads that grant in-app rewards (coins, points, unlocks, etc.) upon completion. These rewards are subject to:
- Video or ad completion as specified by the App
- Technical validation to prevent fraud
- TechChatLab's sole discretion to grant or withhold rewards if fraud is suspected
6. User Conduct
You agree to use the Apps and Website responsibly and in accordance with all applicable laws. Specifically, you agree not to:
Illegal Activity
- Use the Apps to facilitate illegal transactions or content
- Use the Apps to store or create content that is illegal in your jurisdiction
- Violate laws regarding data storage, encryption, or use of software
Content Restrictions
- Do not store or transmit child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or exploitative content
- Do not create content that promotes violence, terrorism, or illegal activity
- Do not store content that violates third-party intellectual property rights without authorization
System Abuse
- Do not spam, overload, or attempt to disrupt the Apps or Website
- Do not distribute malware through the Apps
- Do not engage in automated access or data scraping
Social Conduct
- Do not use the Apps to harass, threaten, or defame others
- Do not engage in coordinated campaigns to disrupt or sabotage services
7. Intellectual Property Rights
TechChatLab IP
All content, design, code, graphics, logos, and other materials in the Apps and Website are owned by TechChatLab or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
- You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or publicly display these materials without permission
- You may make a single personal copy of the App for backup purposes
- All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved by TechChatLab
User-Generated Data
You retain all ownership rights to data you create within the Apps (notes, records, entries, etc.). By using the Apps, you grant TechChatLab a limited license to store your data on your device and, if you enable iCloud backup, to facilitate cloud storage (processed by Apple).
License to Improve Service
You grant TechChatLab the right to use aggregated, anonymized usage patterns or feedback to improve the Apps and Services (without identifying you personally or disclosing your private data).
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
AS-IS Disclaimer
THE APPS AND WEBSITE ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS-IS" AND "AS-AVAILABLE" BASIS. TechChatLab makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the Apps or Website, including:
- Implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement
- That the Apps will be error-free, uninterrupted, secure, or meet your expectations
- That data stored in the Apps will never be corrupted, lost, or become inaccessible
- That the Apps will be compatible with all future OS versions or devices
- That bugs or security vulnerabilities will not occur
Data Backup Responsibility
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you are responsible for creating and maintaining backups of your data. We recommend regular backups via:
- iCloud backup (for iOS)
- In-app data export features (where provided)
- Device-level backup methods
TechChatLab is not responsible for data loss resulting from device failure, app uninstallation, OS updates, or any other cause.
No Guarantee of Availability
TechChatLab does not guarantee that the Apps will remain available on app stores indefinitely. We reserve the right to discontinue any App at any time. In such cases, we will provide reasonable notice where possible.
9. Limitation of Liability
Damage Exclusion
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL TechChatLab BE LIABLE FOR:
- Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of data, loss of revenue, loss of profits, or business interruption
- Damages arising from unauthorized access to your data or device compromise
- Damages from third-party actions, ad network practices, or advertiser conduct
- Damages exceeding the amount you paid for the Apps (or $0 if the App is free)
Applicability
This limitation applies regardless of the cause of action, even if TechChatLab has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Exceptions
Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of liability for certain damages. In such cases, TechChatLab's liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless TechChatLab, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, costs, or liabilities (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Apps or Website in violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any applicable law
- Content you store or transmit using the Apps
- Disputes with other users or third parties
- Your infringement of third-party intellectual property rights
11. App Store Terms & Additional Obligations
App Store Compliance
For iOS Apps distributed on the Apple App Store:
- You agree to comply with Apple's App Store Terms of Service and any supplementary terms
- You acknowledge that Apple has no obligation to provide support, maintenance, or updates for the Apps
- Apple's standard EULA disclaimer applies
- You agree that your use is personal and non-commercial
- You accept Apple's limitations on usage in certain jurisdictions or for certain content
Google Play Compliance
For Android Apps distributed on Google Play:
- You agree to comply with Google Play's Terms of Service
- You acknowledge Google's policies on app use and content
- You accept Google's license limitations and restrictions
EULA Integration
To the extent that Apple, Google, or other platform providers have published End-User License Agreements (EULAs), those terms are incorporated into these Terms of Service by reference and apply to your use of the Apps on those platforms. In the event of conflict between this document and an official app store EULA, the official EULA takes precedence.
12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the People's Republic of China, without regard to its conflict of law principles. However, we acknowledge that many users are located outside China.
International Considerations
For users in the European Union, European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions with mandatory consumer protections:
- Mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction may apply to these Terms regardless of the choice of Chinese law
- Nothing in these Terms waives rights that cannot be waived under your local laws
- You retain all statutory consumer protections applicable in your country or region
United States Users
For users in the United States, while these Terms are governed by Chinese law, certain US laws (such as COPPA and CCPA) may apply to the extent your use involves data collection or activities subject to those laws. Consumer protection laws in your state or jurisdiction may also apply.
13. Dispute Resolution & Arbitration
Informal Resolution
Before initiating formal dispute resolution, you and TechChatLab agree to attempt informal resolution:
- Contact us at support@techchatlab.com with a detailed description of your dispute
- We will make good faith efforts to resolve the matter within 30 days
- If resolution is not possible, you may pursue formal remedies
Arbitration Agreement
For users outside the EU/EEA and certain other jurisdictions with arbitration-prohibiting laws:
- You and TechChatLab agree to resolve disputes through binding arbitration rather than litigation
- Arbitration will be conducted by a neutral arbitrator in accordance with the rules in effect at the time of the dispute
- The arbitrator will make a final and binding determination
Class Action Waiver
You agree not to bring claims on behalf of a class or in consolidated proceedings with other users. Disputes must be resolved individually.
EU/EEA Users
For EU/EEA users, mandatory consumer protection laws may prohibit arbitration clauses. Dispute resolution will be conducted in accordance with applicable EU law, which may include litigation in the courts of your country or through alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.
14. Changes to These Terms
TechChatLab reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through:
- Email notification (if we have your email address)
- In-app notification
- Website notification
Your continued use of the Apps after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not accept changes, you should stop using the Apps.

Entire Agreement
These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and TechChatLab regarding the Apps and Services. These Terms supersede all prior agreements, understandings, and representations, whether written or oral.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be reformed or removed to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable. All other provisions shall remain in full effect.
Waiver
TechChatLab's failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that provision or the right to enforce it at any future time.
